Experience
Camera assistant intern
Palearctic Films- I played an integral role in the production and postproduction of two documentaries: “Invasoras” and “Turón”
- I filmed in different sequences, including: goats in the highest mountains of Spain in Sierra Nevada, a variety of bird species in Cádiz wetlands, multiple timelapses of the night sky and plants growing and urban monk parakeets in Barcelona.
- I translated the full script of Turón from Spanish to English
- Other roles I played include: Data Manager, Editing assistant, Colorist and Script writer assistant.
Filming in Tropical Forests
Caimanes en Costa Rica- I have visited the tropical forests of South America and Central America on several occasions in search of exotic species of animals, plants, and fungi.
- During these trips, I have learned to work in adverse conditionsfar from civilization, with high humidity and long walks carrying heavy equipment to find the selected species.
- Sharing Spanish with the locals has greatly facilitated my experience, giving me access to their knowledge and to places unknown to tourists.
- Among other species, I have been able to film and photograph monkeys, caimans, snakes, toucans, raptors, hummingbirds, all kinds of birds, rodents, an infinity of invertebrates, etc.
- Here is an example of my work: a short video featuring caimans in Costa Rica
